Trenton Area Soup Kitchen

TASK prepares more than 10,000 meals per week, three-quarters of which benefit residents of Trenton, where 75 percent of Mercer County’s homeless population lives. We also serve places where hunger is more hidden, including Princeton, Hightstown, Lawrenceville, East Windsor and Morrisville, PA. But food alone won’t solve the problem. Food insecurity – and its result, hunger – have many causes. That’s why we approach the problem holistically and with relentless creativity. A meal at TASK opens the door to a world of services and support. Along with food, we provide basic necessities, access to case managers, and programs that encourage and aid self-sufficiency, so patrons have the tools they need to pursue a better quality of life and leave hunger behind.

Ryan's Quest

Hope is the inspiration for Ryan’s Quest. We founded this organization within two short months of learning of Ryan’s diagnosis. We endured many sleepless nights and days where the hurt and tears felt like they would never cease. Until suddenly, we became enlightened. We knew that crying wouldn’t save Ryan. We needed to fight this disease. We learned how to focus the intensity of our emotions into saving Ryan and other boys affected by Duchenne by increasing awareness and funding for DMD research through Ryan’s Quest.

Friends of a Feather Foundation

Friends of a Feather was established in 2022 in honor of Barbara DeLorenzo. Barb was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the age of 57, and battled cancer for 3 years. Friends of a Feather was created because of Barb’s admiration for children battling cancer. Barb’s family wants to provide comfort, smiles, entertainment, and a sense of empowerment to pediatric patients and their families the exact way that Barb did to each and every person she met.
